North York Condos
North York is a district and a former municipality within the current city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is a name for the area north of Toronto that includes a wide range of neighbourhoods including The Bridle Path, Hogg's Hollow, Lawrence Park, York Mills, Willowdale, Bayview Village, Jane and Finch, Flemingdon Park and Lawrence Heights. Some of the main attractions include the "other Koreatown" at Yonge and Finch, Downsview Park, great bagels and Jewish delis on Bathurst north and south of the 401 and the so-called Little Tehran on Yonge St. north of Steeles.
North York is getting a facelift. Shiny, new condominiums are part of the prescription. Perched atop subway stations just minutes from downtown, these chic, yet affordable buildings bring urban sophistication without the downtown premium.Though Allen Road and the 401 provide instant auto access to the GTA, North York is car-optional and transit-friendly. Mature neighbourhoods and established amenities provide walking-distance access to street shopping, entertainment and schools. Yorkdale, Canada's fifth-largest mall, is a convenient subway ride away.
Residents may choose from a variety of sports clubs, which includes the girl’s hockey league, the North York Storm, as well as the North York Aquatic Club and Gwendolen Tennis Club. There are many activities from which to choose when North York real estate is chosen. History buffs will enjoy Black Creek Pioneer Village. This is a genuine nineteenth century village. The Ontario Science Centre is another main attraction in the city with more than 800 science exhibits.
Extensive parkland brackets the area. Earl Bales Park, to the east, boasts hiking trails, an outdoor amphitheatre—even ski hills. To the west, Downsview Park opens a gateway to sports and leisure activities as well as the arts.
